Experience in 2 days stewardship workshop,

I have learned few new tools which are very useful for personal and professional life. The following tools that I learned from that workshop are:

  • Integrity (complete or in full potential )

Using this tool, I noticed that I’m not full potential in doing work and practicing to be full potential.

  • Judgement ( from background conversation ) and discernment ( from inner source or stand)

Using this tool, I stopped taking decision / Judging instantly, and start analyzing the situation from my inner source.

  • Powerful speaking (3min)

Using this tool, I learned how to convey information and making a committed request for action

  • Story of solution

Using this tool, I learned what values are should consider before creating new solution/Goal for existing problem:

G – Gives people more power people.

O – Open people’s eyes to truth of happiness.

A – Account for all the cost involved to achieve goal.

L – Lessen the wealth gap

  • Commitment for action.

Using this tool, I started saying ‘no’, when I cannot do what other request me to do and learned how to make counter request.

Whole(complete) 5.conscious full spectrum 6.Distinguishing discernment from Judgement 7. Speaking powerfully (3min) 8.Fact and story 9. Complaints which are commitment for action and conversation for commitments behind action etc..

During the workshop I able to notice who am i and what do i really care about?. I am able to notice few things about me 1. A web domain is an ip address with human readable name mask that points to your website when a user types it in the web browser.
A domain is just a name available on the web to point to the directory where you keep your website, to build that directory you need a web server.

# Download and install Local server –

– Xampp – https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html
– Wamp – http://www.wampserver.com/en/

# Setting up database and db_user

Once we download and install Xampp/Wampp server, we need to create a new database. To do it easily, we run the xampp/wampp server, then in the web browser we type – localhost/phpmyadmin or localhost:8080/phpmyadmin

In phymyadmin look for the option create database. Give it a unique name and for language, select collection and hit the create database button.

Reflection (2017-2018)

The Year 2017-2018, Progress occurred in various aspects. I am able to notice a vast change in my inner being, and abilities as well.I have realized that happiness is something special that I create within me, and this emanates in all things that I do, and participate small or large. Supporting children in their growth and seeing them accomplish their goals gives a huge sense of awe, and responsibility. As a learner and technologist I have gained the confidence to support my fellow colleagues and learned from the team as a whole, this has made my knowledge rich and diversified. Each member of the team has a unique set of universal values, skills and accountability, and seeing them engaged with commitment gives me an adrenaline drive to progress towards perfection along by their sides. I have shared many moments of inspiration and clarity that remain special to me. There has been a lot of new experiences in courses that were conducted and seeing new people join the team, and fellow ones progress and search towards their new goals, attachment has become something I have realized that needs to be let go, in order togo with the present flow of things being put forward for a higher purpose.

I am privileged to be at the place of most potential were I own the opportunity to learn, grow, work and support others in their learning’s.

Research has given me the curiosity to think beyond what I could have imagined it would be, to get down to details and provide clarity on what is that has made me all this change in me and bring it out to others to experience.

requirements.txt

Any application typically has a set of dependencies that are required for that application to work. The requirements file is a way to specify and install specific set of package dependencies at once.

Use pip’s freeze command to generate a requirements.txt file for your project:

In the terminal type:

pip freeze

If you save this in requirements.txt,

pip freeze > requirements.txt

then you can install the dependencies using.

pip install -r requirements.txt

Priyan the Tailoring Bird:

The 4th grade were studying a lesson called “A busy Month” a letter written by Gijubhai. In that he would talk about many Indian birds. In the class we discussed about the birds which they have seen. While in the discussion we were discussing about nest and how they are made. Each bird makes its nest differently. So, to do a hands on activity, I asked them to go out of the class like a bird and find any material with which they can build a nest. Everyone were excited and they ran out in search of the materials for their nest. They collected some twigs, hay, leaves. Priyan was able to make a tailoring birds nest out of the leaves, hay and thread he found outside. He was making the nest even in the break time. While he was doing the nest Nithish from 3rd grade came and helped him.

After,Priyan sharing his nest model in the assembly Harish,Aasish and Elanchezhiyan made a nest model of a weaver bird.

The Microscopic Inventor:

As the children were preparing their project for Sir.C.V.Raman contest. Kabilan from 9th grade can to me and asked to me if there were any laser lights he could use. I showed him were the lights were. I asked him “what are you going to do with it?”. He replied “I am going to build a microscope with it”. I was curious about how he is going to build and microscope with it. I thought it is going to be complicated to do it. So , I decided to help him with Bala,Hemasundar(9th grade). He just took the lens which he got from the laser light and placed it on top of the camera on the cellphone and thats all! The microscope is done. To test, first we placed a leaf on the lens and saw the microscopic image on the phone. Next we saw a spider skeleton,flower.. I was inspired on how we can build a microscope using a lens from the laser. We had a lot of fun.

Leadership Programme for the 7th and 8th Graders:

Leadership programme for the 7th and 8th graders was conducted at STEMland ISMART classroom,Udavi.

The programme was conducted Mondays over five weeks. Ahmed,Bridget and Helena were the resource persons. The STEMland AAD team were as PC’s. The following tools were presented to the children.

1. Stand

2. Fear.

3. Background Conversation and Deep Listening.

4. Four Profiles.

5. System Principles.

6. Watched the video of “Story of Stuff” to understand systems.

On the first day we began with ground rules which must be followed during the workshop. After the presentation of each tool, the children were called up to share their insights. A few of the children went and shared their insights. The insights were processed by Ahmed.

Once the programme was completed Sundar had created the triad list. The list was shared with the children and instructions where given on how the triad should be conducted.

Powerful Speaking

-Logeshwari

This week we worked with “Powerful Speaking” a tool from the Stewardship for New Emergence program. It was new for some of us in the team. Everyone shared for about three minutes on what they want to accomplish in the upcoming year. We used the conscious full spectrum to fill what and how to accomplish. I wanted to work on the EBD (Education By Design) more, learn from it and to be able to do EBDs with children.

Once each person shared we gave feedback to them. I learnt how to give feedback to others and learned to distinguish it from advice. The format of the feedback we used was ‘retain’, ‘increase’ and ‘decrease’ on what the person spoke supporting them to speak again the next time, possibly to a different forum.  From this tool, I learnt how to come up and speak to the team and learnt to be specific on the committed requests I make.

Grit

~Saranya & Ranjith

Angela Lee Duckworth argues that the key to success is grit—a characteristic she defines as “passion and perseverance for very long-term goals.”

There are lots of brilliant people, but it’s the ones who stay true to themselves and follow through that make it. The key to success is setting a goal and pacing yourself (for a marathon rather than a sprint). It’s staying true to that goal even when life gets messy and even when it’s inconvenient that makes the difference.

These uncomfortable, challenging situations are the ones that force us to grow the most. Grit is used to find out our weakness and it make us to work on it.

One possible way to grow grit in children and ourselves is having a ‘growth mindset’ i.e. understanding ourselves and the brain that our abilities are not fixed in stone and can constantly change if we persevere.
