On 19th May, we from STEM Land visited NESS School for Ethernet wire checking and hands-on learning. There were eight members in our team, and among us, Ajai and Atchudhan already knew Ethernet Crimping well. The rest of us joined to learn from them through peer learning, which made the session very engaging and effective.

Ajai and Atchudhan patiently taught us how to Crimp Ethernet wires properly and explained the different ways cables can get damaged. It was very interesting to learn about the color arrangement of the wires and the correct method of straight Crimping. Their practical explanations helped us understand the process clearly.

The best part of the visit was that each one of us got the opportunity to try Crimping the Ethernet wire on our own. After Crimping, we tested whether the connection was working properly, which made the learning experience more interactive and exciting.

Overall, the visit was a wonderful learning experience. Peer learning made the session comfortable, collaborative, and enjoyable, and we all gained practical knowledge about Ethernet wiring and troubleshooting.

Reflection:

My name is Ajay, and I stand for self-awareness for myself and for others. During this activity, I felt motivated when I shared something I knew with others, and it resulted in getting things done much faster. When I explain something step by step, I become more focused and confident, which improves my own efficiency.

My name is Poonguzhali. I stand for courage for myself and others. Learning Ethernet Crimping was a good experience. I learned how to connect network cables correctly and understood the importance of proper wiring. By practicing, I improved my technical skills and gained confidence. I also learned together with others by discussing ideas and helping each other solve problems.

My name is Vaishnavi. K. I stand for Kindness for myself and others. Today I learned the color arrangement and Crimping of an Ethernet cable. It was interesting and gave me the satisfaction of learning something new. I will apply this learning in the computer lab at Isai Ambalam. I am grateful to Ajay and Atchudhan for teaching and guiding us.

My name is Preethi. I stand for courage and happiness for myself. While doing RJ45 crimping along with my colleagues, I noticed that I learnt patience and focus while cutting and inserting the wires carefully. This experience helped me understand the importance of teamwork and doing each step with attention.

My name is Gunavathi. I stand for happiness for myself and others.Learning how to connect an Ethernet cable taught me the basics of routing and the importance of a stable internet connection. It was a simple skill that made me more confident in handling computer hardware.

My name is Nithya Sandhosh. I stand for kindness and equality for myself and others. While doing the Ethernet Crimping, I gained hands-on practice and learning, which gave me better clarity and understanding. The activity was engaging, and everyone got a chance to practice and learn. We learned with happiness and enthusiasm throughout the session.

My name is Aarthi. I stand for perseverance, for myself and for others. Today, I learned about Ethernet cables . How to identify wire faults, how to Crimp the wire using the correct color pattern for direct data transfer, and how to check whether the wire is working using an Ethernet cable tester. I also enjoyed peer learning and felt happy learning together with others. Now, I feel confident and happy that I am able to identify mistakes in the cable.

My name is Arunkumar. Standing for peace and equity for myself and others, I found great accomplishment in learning to crimp Ethernet cables, surrounded by teamwork and curiosity. I also realized that checking items before throwing them away can extend their usefulness and prevent waste.

My name is Atchudhan. I stand for integrity, love and peace for myself and others. Learning Ethernet cable crimping gave me practical knowledge about networking and hardware connections. It helped me understand how wired communication works and improved my technical hands-on skills. This experience increased my confidence in troubleshooting basic network setup problems independently.
