Auro Mira Vidya Mandir students explore STEM Land
Students from Auro Mira Vidya Mandir a school in Orissa visited STEM Land on 09/10/2025 between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The group consisted of children aged around 10 to 12, accompanied by their teachers. The session began with Sanjeev Anna and Poovizhi leading the Stand and Fear RTL tool, after which the students explored and experienced the various games and crafts in STEM Land.
Jayabharathy:
I could see the enthusiasm in the children when they were asked to notice their values and fears. They were able to relate their fears to real-life situations. I felt joyful being one of the PCs there, as it gave me a new experience of explaining the tools in a simple way that children could understand. Their responses were genuine and heartfelt, and I loved coaching them. While supporting them in STEM Land games, I could see their curiosity and innocence. I went there to teach, but the environment encouraged me to join in and play a few games with them. It brought out the child in me and helped me connect with them easily. I felt whole and accomplished supporting them throughout their time here.
Soundhariya:
My name is Soundhariya and I stand for Courage for myself and others. While working with the children, I realized that when I truly care about others’ learning and growth, I also learn many new things. It made me feel special to work with the children and I enjoyed the whole process. I learned that I can share something meaningful with them, which they can then pass on to others, creating a wonderful cycle of peer learning.
Premkumar:
My name is Premkumar. I stand for self-confidence and equality for myself and others. While working with the children, I understood how important it is to see where they get stuck while solving problems. I found it helpful to meet them at their level, whether they misunderstood the question or didn’t know what to do next. I used different ways to help them, like pen and paper or math materials.
Poovizhi:
My name is Poovizhi. I stand for equality and equity for myself and for others. Recently, I had the opportunity to facilitate the Sourcing Inner Power tool with a group of students. At first, I felt hesitant. The children were very young and more comfortable speaking Hindi, and I wondered how I would connect with them. Then Sanjeev Anna joined us and led a beautiful thought break that lifted the energy in the room. His presence and encouragement inspired me to let go of my doubts. As the session unfolded, I began to enjoy every moment with the children. I could see their openness, curiosity, and inner strength shining through. Through this experience, I realized that age and language do not matter when it comes to connecting with one’s universal values. What truly matters is the shared human spirit the understanding that deep down, we are all one.
