The Workshop for trainers- to express the full potential of children

[translated from Tamil]
The workshop for trainers aimed at unlocking the full potential of children has concluded successfully.
This was the fifth Integrated Education Practitioners’ Gathering (IEPG5), an initiative launched in 2021 by Dr. Jayanthi S. Ravi, IAS, upon her appointment as Secretary of the Auroville Foundation The three-day event was organized by the Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Educational Research (SAIIER) and showcased revolutionary educational approaches designed to uncover and nurture the innate talents of 21st-century children
Over 150+ education experts, including both national and international educators, researchers, and innovators, collaborated to envision a promising future for children Among the highlights:
- Research-based pedagogy: Scientific techniques to identify each child’s unique abilities from birth
- Holistic development: Integrated initiatives to foster excellence in sports, arts, science, and leadership, promoting balanced physical, mental, and emotional growth
- Transformational engagement: Guided by luminaries like “Deepthi” and “Matribhrishta” from the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, educators were inspired to awaken their own transformative potential
A senior educator remarked that Dr. Ravi’s visionary initiative, which began in 2021, has not only endured but has blossomed into an international educational movement. Thanks to her dedication and steady support, the program is yielding tangible results in educational innovation
Encouragingly, educators from surrounding villages around Auroville have begun implementing these novel methods in their own schools. Early outcomes are promising—students are showing improved concentration, better physical health, and renewed enthusiasm for learning
One participant celebrated the initiative as more than just a workshop—it’s a vital investment in the future of communities: “This is not just a gift for children—it’s an investment in the future of our society.”
