Dinamalar Press Release

Director-General Stephen of the Taiwan Embassy, accompanied by assistants Sai Ming-shun and Chao Sang-Lench, made a special visit to Auroville to explore opportunities for cooperation in education and technology. As part of the visit, the delegation began with a meditation session at Auroville’s spiritual center, the Matrimandir, organized by a member of the Auroville community.

They then proceeded to the Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Educational Research (SAIIER), where they met with Lijun and Dr. Sanjeev Ranganathan. During this visit, there was a detailed discussion about Auroville’s distinctive educational philosophy, Sri Aurobindo’s broad vision, and innovative educational approaches for both teachers and students.

In discussions on technological collaboration, the parties explored potential cooperation opportunities between Taiwan’s advanced semiconductor chip manufacturing expertise and Auroville’s STEMland division, particularly in areas like power distribution motherboard design and advanced programming

Director-General Stephen emphasized that:

“Auroville’s noble vision of human unity and sustainable development aligns beautifully with Taiwan’s socially responsible technology advance goals. Very soon, we will establish outstanding cooperation between Taiwan and Auroville in key sectors such as education, technology, and sustainable development, strengthening our strong friendship with India.” He further added that:

“Auroville’s message of human unity is deeply needed in today’s divided world, and it resonates perfectly with Taiwan’s values of peace and mutual cooperation.”
